Functional Loans Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Serve as a functional subject matter expert in SAP Banking Loans Management.

• Facilitate workshops with banking clients to gather business requirements, analyze processes and system landscapes, and convert needs into functional specifications.

• Create functional specifications, business process definitions, solution designs, and supporting documentation.

• Assist in the design, development, and execution of Loans Management products and services.

• Aid in the implementation and evolution of Banking Loans Management solutions, focusing on functional configuration and solution validation.

• Participate in SAP Banking Services and S/4 TRBK transition and conversion projects.

• Evaluate customer-specific functionalities and suggest alignment with standard SAP Fioneer capabilities.

• Prepare and review functional test scenarios; assist in SIT and UAT; investigate defects; and validate solutions.

• Support Loans Management migration tasks, including data validation, reconciliation, and related testing.

• Work closely with technical consultants, solution architects, and banking functional teams to troubleshoot issues and facilitate integration.

• Conduct functional reviews to ensure deliverables meet project quality standards.

• Engage with client stakeholders, lead discussions, provide functional guidance, and support demonstrations.

• Contribute to delivery planning, effort estimation, progress tracking, go-live preparation, and post-go-live support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• 6–8 years of relevant experience in SAP Banking Services, Banking Loans Management, or SAP Transactional Banking implementations and support.

• Proven functional expertise in SAP Banking Services Loans Management and/or S/4HANA Transactional Banking (TRBK).

• Comprehensive understanding of banking lending processes and the functional requirements related to Loans Management products and services.

• Experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, functional specification development, and solution design.

• Background in supporting SAP Banking Services or TRBK implementation, enhancement, upgrade, transition, or conversion projects.

• Proficiency in functional testing, including test scenario preparation, SIT, UAT, defect analysis, and solution validation.

• Capability to analyze existing functionalities and customer-specific developments and contribute to the design of appropriate standard-based solutions or alternatives.

• Experience collaborating with technical teams and solution architects to deliver integrated banking solutions.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a distributed, international project environment.

• Business-fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Nice to have: Experience with S/4HANA TRBK transition or conversion projects, including SAP Banking Services upgrades.

• Nice to have: Exposure to loans data migration, migration validation, and reconciliation processes.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with SAP Activate, Agile/Scrum, or other structured implementation methodologies.

• Nice to have: Experience with tools like Jira and Confluence.

• Nice to have: SAP Banking Services certification or relevant SAP Transactional Banking certification.
