Fully Licensed Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver evidence-based therapy for families, individuals, and groups dealing with eating disorders and co-occurring diagnoses in a virtual clinic (i.e. telehealth) environment.

• Apply family-based treatment (FBT), enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E), cognitive behavioral therapy for ARFID, and other evidence-supported interventions for patients of all ages and their loved ones facing eating disorders.

• Manage a caseload of 30-40 patients, with the expectation of 20-26 hours dedicated to direct care and the remainder allocated to administrative responsibilities.

• Engage in initial and ongoing training sessions.

• Evaluate and diagnose mental health conditions.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.

• Utilize between-session messaging to assist patients and facilitate communication with the treatment team via Equip’s EMR, adhering to Equip’s policies and procedures.

• Participate actively in Treatment Team meetings, supervision, and departmental meetings.

• Maintain licensure in your home state and acquire licensure in additional states as requested by Equip (licensure expenses will be covered by Equip).

⛳️ Requirements

• An active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in Illinois.

• Capability to manage a caseload of patients across all ages, with co-occurring conditions, diverse backgrounds and cultures, and varying levels of acuity.

• A strong commitment to evidence-based care and treatment.

• Availability to provide care two evenings per week (being accessible until 8 pm in your patient caseload's primary time zone).

• A motivated and collaborative team player.

• Competence in delivering care safely and effectively in a virtual setting.

• A strong interest in mental health and eating disorder treatment, with a focus on expanding access to care.

• Experience in Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder treatment is preferred but not required.

• Background in evidence-based treatment and/or intensive treatment environments is preferred but not required.
