Full Stack Engineer – Rating Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to create new features and improve existing applications.

• Design and develop both frontend and backend components utilizing JavaScript (Node.js) and Python.

• Create RESTful APIs and integrate them with third-party services as necessary.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in accordance with best practices and coding standards.

• Implement automated testing and ensure high code quality through code reviews and continuous integration procedures.

• Optimize application performance and scalability to accommodate increasing user demands.

• Utilize and develop Large Language Models (LLMs) to boost underwriters' productivity.

• Troubleshoot production issues using the latest tools available.

• Contribute to setting the strategic direction of a small but expanding engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in full stack development.

• Capability to facilitate and gather business requirements while devising scalable engineering solutions.

• Strong proficiency in designing data models based on business domain use cases.

• Proven ability to write forward-thinking code, emphasizing maintainability and testability.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Github Actions, AWS Code Pipelines, Jenkins, or similar.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and time management capabilities.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently, aligned with organizational objectives and deadlines.

• Previous startup experience is preferred.

• Proficient in Python and JavaScript.

• Experience addressing challenges specific to the insurance industry or domain.

• Familiarity with web technologies and frameworks (JS/TS, HTML, CSS/SCSS, Angular, React, Bootstrap, Node.js).

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States, Poland, or Canada without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
