This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more countries.
β’ Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to create new features and improve existing applications.
β’ Design and develop both frontend and backend components utilizing JavaScript (Node.js) and Python.
β’ Create RESTful APIs and integrate them with third-party services as necessary.
β’ Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in accordance with best practices and coding standards.
β’ Implement automated testing and ensure high code quality through code reviews and continuous integration procedures.
β’ Optimize application performance and scalability to accommodate increasing user demands.
β’ Utilize and develop Large Language Models (LLMs) to boost underwriters' productivity.
β’ Troubleshoot production issues using the latest tools available.
β’ Contribute to setting the strategic direction of a small but expanding engineering team.
β’ Over 3 years of experience in full stack development.
β’ Capability to facilitate and gather business requirements while devising scalable engineering solutions.
β’ Strong proficiency in designing data models based on business domain use cases.
β’ Proven ability to write forward-thinking code, emphasizing maintainability and testability.
β’ Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Github Actions, AWS Code Pipelines, Jenkins, or similar.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
β’ Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently, aligned with organizational objectives and deadlines.
β’ Previous startup experience is preferred.
β’ Proficient in Python and JavaScript.
β’ Experience addressing challenges specific to the insurance industry or domain.
β’ Familiarity with web technologies and frameworks (JS/TS, HTML, CSS/SCSS, Angular, React, Bootstrap, Node.js).
β’ Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
β’ Candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States, Poland, or Canada without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
