Full Stack Engineer, Product Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of Postgres responsibilities, including schema design, migrations, indexing, query performance, connection management, and ensuring operational health under load.

• Create data models that effectively enforce tenant isolation and data classification.

• Execute live-system migrations without experiencing downtime or data loss.

• Implement and confirm retention, deletion, and minimization practices across derived data, replicas, caches, and backups.

• Develop access controls and audit logging for sensitive information.

• Generate compliance evidence directly from systems.

• Collaborate with security and GRC on the implementation of technical controls.

• Design and enhance multi-region routing, storage, replication, and failover systems.

• Ensure data residency regulations are met within the platform.

• Design, version, deprecate, and maintain backwards-compatible public APIs.

• Build API authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and idempotency mechanisms.

• Operate and troubleshoot services, data, and infrastructure.

• Create internal tools, admin interfaces, and operational dashboards.

• Enhance reliability, observability, testing, and deployment; review code and elevate technical standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without any current or future need for visa sponsorship.

• At least 5 years of experience in building and operating production backend systems.

• Extensive PostgreSQL expertise — including schema design, query optimization, and performing migrations on live systems with real data.

• Strong backend development skills in Go, Node.js, Python, Java, or a similar language, along with sufficient frontend capabilities to develop internal tools in React or a comparable framework.

• Proven experience in designing and maintaining APIs utilized by real customers, with an emphasis on versioning and maintaining compatibility.

• Practical cloud experience, preferably with AWS, covering storage, IAM, and encryption fundamentals.

• Experience in managing sensitive or regulated data, where access control, retention, and deletion were critical requirements.

• Good judgment regarding correctness: including idempotency, safe retries, failure handling, and understanding failure modes under load.

• Strong communication skills and sound judgment while working in a remote, cross-functional team environment.
