Full Stack Engineer – KYC Tech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that facilitate KYC verification, identity authentication, and compliance workflows.

• Spearhead the architecture and implementation of high-performance distributed systems capable of handling millions of global user verification requests.

• Construct and enhance risk assessment pipelines and case management systems that support compliance operations.

• Create and uphold internal tools and dashboards utilizing React and TypeScript as needed, with a primary emphasis on backend engineering.

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices that integrate with third-party KYC/AML vendors and internal data sources.

• Participate in architecture and technical design decisions with a focus on backend, data processing, AI integration, and security.

• Enhance system reliability, performance, observability, and engineering efficiency through automation and adherence to best practices.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while performing thoughtful code reviews.

• Consistently optimize system performance, scalability, throughput, and developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience with a strong emphasis on backend.

• Substantial backend development experience with Java (Spring Boot), Go, or comparable backend technologies.

• Experience in integrating AI/ML models or LLM-powered tools into production systems, including model serving, inference pipelines, or AI-assisted automation workflows.

• Proven experience in designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices at scale.

• Strong grasp of relational databases, caching technologies, message queues, and the principles of distributed systems.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential for coordinating with overseas partners and stakeholders.
