Full Stack Developer, Lovable – Supabase

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bahrain, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Assume complete technical responsibility for the current application and evaluate what requires fixing, enhancement, optimization, or redevelopment.

• Diagnose and enhance backend functionality, concentrating on authentication, user profiles, databases, order processes, and real-time synchronization.

• Collaborate across the customer app, driver app, retailer dashboard, and admin dashboard.

• Analyze the existing Lovable-built application to pinpoint areas that need improvement, rebuilding, or restructuring.

• Develop, sustain, and optimize backend functionality utilizing Supabase and associated technologies.

• Oversee code hosted on GitHub and ensure a clean, maintainable development environment.

• Guarantee that customer, driver, retailer, and admin data flows accurately throughout the platform.

• Diagnose issues related to authentication, sign-in, profiles, dashboards, order management, and real-time updates.

• Ensure seamless order and operational processes function effectively across different user types.

• Engage with booking, calendar-based, and other workflow-driven functionalities as necessary.

• Proactively identify technical challenges and propose practical solutions focused on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

• Rigorously test functionalities and address bugs prior to launch.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding product setup, technical decisions, and essential workflows.

• Articulate technical decisions, challenges, and recommendations to a non-technical founder.

• Operate independently and manage technical priorities with minimal oversight.

• Facilitate a smooth technical handover and knowledge transfer if additional developers join the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-stack development, with a strong emphasis on backend development.

• Practical experience with Lovable or a solid understanding of AI-assisted application development platforms.

• Extensive experience with Supabase or comparable backend, database, and authentication systems.

• Proficient in using GitHub and navigating existing codebases.

• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, enhancing, and finalizing existing applications rather than exclusively creating new products from the ground up.

• Deep understanding of authentication, user profiles, databases, APIs, dashboards, and application workflows.

• Familiarity with real-time data, synchronization, notifications, or similar live application features.

• Experience working across various user interfaces or role-based platforms.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the capability to swiftly comprehend an existing technical setup.

• Ability to discern when existing functionality should be fixed or optimized versus rebuilt.

• Capable of working autonomously and taking full technical ownership of a product.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Comfortable in an early-stage, founder-led environment that presents a high degree of ambiguity and ownership.

• Exceptional attention to detail, reliability, and a practical mindset for addressing technical challenges.

• Nice to have: Experience in developing multi-sided products that involve customers, drivers, retailers/vendors, and administrators.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with real-time order tracking or operational workflows.

• Nice to have: Experience in swiftly rebuilding or restructuring components of an application when the current architecture is challenging to maintain.
