Full-Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain high-performance, edge-rendered websites and web applications utilizing Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS).

• Develop reusable, semantic, high-performance components and blocks using native JavaScript, HTML5, and modern CSS3.

• Act as a secondary owner and backup for current EDS-based digital properties.

• Ensure continuity, coverage, and collaborative architectural decision-making alongside the existing developer.

• Set up and configure new EDS projects using the AEM boilerplate.

• Oversee .hlx project configuration, including routing/rewrites and config.yaml management.

• Optimize eager, lazy, and delayed loading phases and programmatic auto-blocking to reach exceptional Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse scores.

• Configure and enhance document-based authoring workflows with Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Document Authoring.

• Manage Git-first deployment workflows utilizing GitHub and GitHub Actions.

• Collaborate with CDN/edge configuration like Fastly and Cloudflare, focusing on caching and TTL strategies.

• Serve as a technical resource for clients.

• Translate client requirements into effective solutions and clarify technical trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders.

• Integrate EDS-delivered pages with AEM Assets, headless APIs, and CRM/MarTech systems as needed.

• Utilize AI/agentic coding tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor for task decomposition, code generation, and code reviews.

• Engage in technical discovery, estimation, and solution discussions with clients during project kickoff and delivery as required.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Contribute to code reviews and uphold engineering best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of professional full-stack development experience.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in building, testing, and launching live production websites on Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS), or a strong AEM background with a proven ability to quickly adapt to EDS.

• Expert-level knowledge of native/vanilla JavaScript (ES6+).

• Proficient in semantic HTML5.

• Strong competency in modern CSS3, including custom properties and Grid/Flexbox.

• Good judgment on when to use a heavier framework like React, Angular, or Vue for EDS-based pages.

• Proven ability to optimize Core Web Vitals: Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Interaction to Next Paint (INP), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS).

• Experience in Lighthouse performance optimization.

• Working knowledge of React and Next.js.

• Mastery of Git/GitHub workflows, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and CI automation with GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipeline design, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, or cloud deployment beyond basic GitHub Actions usage.

• Experience with document-based authoring and document-to-HTML content workflows.

• Back-end development experience and API/integration knowledge with REST, GraphQL, or similar technologies.

• Proven track record of working directly with clients or business stakeholders in a client-facing role.

• Ability to excel in fast-paced, high-ambiguity settings with changing priorities and evolving requirements.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Professional maturity to function as a long-term, trusted team member.

• Capacity to work independently and take ownership of deliverables with minimal day-to-day supervision.

• Current work authorization for the US or Canada.

• Preferred: Experience in migrating legacy AEM Sites (HTL/Sightly, OSGi, Sling Models) to modern EDS architecture.

• Preferred: Hands-on experience with agentic AI development workflows.

• Preferred: Proficiency in .NET/C# for back-end services or API development.

• Preferred: Knowledge of edge/CDN configuration such as Fastly or Cloudflare, including caching strategies and ESI.

• Preferred: Familiarity with the broader Adobe Experience Cloud, including Adobe Target, Adobe Launch/Web SDK, and AEM Assets.

• Preferred: Experience in a digital agency or consulting role, managing multiple concurrent client engagements.

• Preferred: Understanding of SEO fundamentals, Open Graph/schema configuration, and edge-side analytics implementation.
