This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Design, develop, test, and deploy features across various platforms.
β’ Write clean, maintainable code and engage actively in code reviews.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, collaborating with support and QA as necessary.
β’ Collaborate closely with product owners to clarify requirements and identify technical trade-offs early.
β’ Adhere to and contribute to the enhancement of SDLC practices, including branching, review, release, and QA.
β’ Participate in technical design discussions and architectural decisions for your designated area.
β’ Deliver production code across platforms, ensuring reliable and well-tested releases with minimal regressions.
β’ Work in partnership with product owners, QA, and support throughout the entire SDLC.
β’ Share innovative ideas that enhance engineering practices as the company scales.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, preferably in a SaaS or high-growth product environment.
β’ Proficient in navigating the entire SDLC β from gathering requirements to code review, release, and support.
β’ Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities, along with the discipline to write tests that are effective in production.
β’ Clear communication skills with non-technical stakeholders when clarifying requirements.
β’ A proactive approach to shipping: you prefer to deploy a well-scoped version and iterate rather than wait for perfection.
β’ A dedication to iterative development: you design with today and tomorrow in mind, favoring adaptable designs and architecture decisions.
β’ Capability to quickly adapt as market demands change, making sound design choices in both code and the SDLC process.
β’ Familiarity with C#, VB.NET, .NET Framework, ASP.NET Core/Web API, PHP/Laravel, TypeScript/Node.js, Express, Next.js, Angular, SQL Server, MySQL, AWS, Docker, GitHub Actions CI/CD, Windows Server/IIS, and payment gateway APIs as appropriate.
β’ While deep expertise in one specific technology isnβt mandatory, comfort transitioning between cloud-native services and established on-premises/monolithic systems is essential.
β’ Experience with integrating payment gateway APIs, such as Stripe or Adyen, is highly advantageous.
β’ Competitive salary (ranging from $110,000-$130,000 CAD)
