Full-Stack AI Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain backend services using Python and FastAPI, alongside PostgreSQL data models.

• Create agent and multi-agent workflows utilizing Vertex AI, Gemini models, and ADK.

• Implement retrieval and grounding functionalities through Vertex AI Search as needed.

• Design and build the front end using React and TypeScript.

• Package and deploy services onto Cloud Run.

• Oversee application data and artifacts within Cloud Storage.

• Write and manage automated tests using pytest and Playwright.

• Engage in collaborative sessions with the delivery team and customer stakeholders to refine requirements, address technical inquiries, and showcase progress.

• Generate technical documentation to facilitate handover at the conclusion of the engagement.

• Take ownership of features from data model to user interface.

• Collaborate closely with the delivery lead, Program Manager, and customer stakeholders from the initial definition stage to final delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Proven experience in designing, building, and deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform.

• Possession of a Google Cloud Professional certification, such as Professional Cloud Developer or Professional Machine Learning Engineer.

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proficient in Python (3.11 and newer), with production experience in creating REST APIs, preferably using FastAPI.

• Experience in relational data modeling with SQLAlchemy and PostgreSQL.

• Direct experience with Vertex AI and the Gemini models through the google-genai SDK.

• Experience in developing agent and multi-agent workflows, ideally utilizing Google's Agent Development Kit (ADK).

• Proficient in front-end development with React 18 and TypeScript.

• Experience in packaging and deploying containerized services to Cloud Run, as well as working with Cloud Storage.

• Comfortable in writing and maintaining automated tests using pytest.

• Familiarity with retrieval and grounding using Vertex AI Search.

• Knowledge of Vite, Tailwind, TanStack Query, and Zustand.

• Experience with end-to-end testing using Playwright.

• Proficient in local development with Docker Compose, and comfortable using the gcloud CLI and pnpm.

• Previous delivery experience with a Google Cloud partner.

• Experience working directly with customer stakeholders in a consulting or delivery context.
