This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee, assist, and troubleshoot ETL and data integration workflows across production, QA, and development environments.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, job failures, and performance challenges associated with Informatica workflows, mappings, and SQL jobs.
• Manage and maintain Informatica mappings, metadata, scripts, schedules, and operational procedures.
• Enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of current ETL jobs and processes.
• Ensure the stability of batch, near-real-time, and real-time data ingestion pipelines.
• Cultivate a technical understanding of data flows and upstream/downstream dependencies.
• Collaborate with DBAs and Data Architects on strategies for data partitioning, indexing, and optimization.
• Create or modify SQL scripts, stored procedures, database triggers, and queries for incident resolution, change requests, and performance tuning.
• Coordinate with cross-functional and offshore teams to promptly resolve issues while adhering to support SLAs and operational guidelines.
• Handle multiple support tickets, change requests, and enhancement tasks based on business impact and urgency.
• Adhere to support, development, coding, testing, and change management standards.
• Provide round-the-clock customer support for Alight’s proprietary Leave of Absence Management software platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incoming issues at first contact whenever possible, document triage information, escalate as needed, and offer ongoing support until resolution.
• 3-5 years of experience in ETL application support, specifically with Informatica PowerCenter/Cloud and SQL Server in production settings.
• Practical experience with SQL Server, including schema comprehension, stored procedure development, query tuning, and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with job scheduling tools, such as Control-M or AutoSys, for monitoring and support automation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a distributed global team.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex data and integration issues.
• Flexible, adaptable, and pragmatic approach to changing priorities.
• Candidates must reside in the United States, either in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia.
• Proof of US citizenship is required at the time of hire.
