FTTH Transport Network Rollout Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical management of expansion initiatives involving both passive and active components within the aggregation network.

• Collaborate with logistics partners to guarantee the prompt delivery of hardware components for the FTTH rollout.

• Work with installation and construction partners for the nationwide rollout of Points of Presence (POP).

• Manage supplier relationships to secure Ethernet wholesale products and transmission capacity.

• Validate FTTH planning data against established capacity and dimensioning guidelines (xPON).

• Ensure adherence to the qualitative and measurable criteria outlined in the network dimensioning guidelines during the network architecture stage.

• Act as the liaison for project managers overseeing the regional FTTH rollout.

• Coordinate the provisioning and acceptance of Vodafone transport services in the rollout regions.

• Take charge of the MFG/OLT rollout in collaboration with logistics and installation partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Confident and open demeanor when collaborating within multicultural teams.

• Proficiency in the German language at C1 level.

• Competency in English language.

• Understanding of telecommunications engineering principles.

• Familiarity with fiber-optic deployment for FTTx networks.

• Knowledge of the installation and modification of telecommunications systems and infrastructure.

• Hands-on experience working with suppliers and service providers.

• A completed university degree in communications engineering, telecommunications engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.

• Ideally, some professional experience in managing complex projects.

• Initiative, strong decision-making abilities, energy, and a results-driven mindset.
