This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Prepare, review, negotiate, and finalize agreements with study sites.
• Negotiate investigator grant budgets, contractual terms, and conditions within approved guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to negotiation standards, approvals, contractual procedures, budgetary guidelines, templates, and client expectations.
• Identify and evaluate legal, financial, and operational risks, escalating issues as necessary.
• Offer recommendations and alternative solutions for investigator contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to synchronize site startup and contractual tasks with agreed timelines.
• Align contract negotiations with the critical path for site activation.
• Meet target cycle times for site activations.
• Escalate issues outside of parameters according to established guidelines and processes.
• Foster effective relationships with study sites and internal functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent relevant academic or vocational qualification.
• 2-5 years of prior relevant experience (equivalent to the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position).
• Equivalency may comprise a mix of suitable education, training, and/or directly related experience.
• Solid understanding of contract law, including aspects of business, intellectual property, local tax, and stamp laws.
• Capability to apply fundamental principles of investigator grant negotiation.
• General comprehension of business and financial principles related to service agreements.
• Strong communication skills in English and the local language.
• Ability to draft and negotiate contract terms and budgetary matters within established parameters, with appropriate oversight.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical product development and the role of CROs.
• Capacity to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient knowledge of PPD SOPs and WPDs.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and assess contractual risks and issues.
• Proficient in using automated systems and computer applications.
• Customer-focused communication, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work upright and/or stationary for 6-8 hours daily.
• Capability to perform repetitive hand movements and engage in frequent mobility.
• Ability to occasionally crouch, stoop, bend, and twist.
• Capacity to lift and carry 15-20 lbs.
• Proficient in accessing and utilizing computer software.
• Ability to communicate and comprehend spoken and written information.
• Regular and consistent attendance required.
• Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Fully remote work arrangement.
