Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain Keet Desktop, an application for cross-platform P2P communication.

• Develop UI/UX features using React within the Pear runtime environment.

• Enhance the performance of the application.

• Play a key role in shaping the future of decentralized communication.

• Collaborate on P2P connections and data replication systems that support the Pear platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with React/Preact and modern JavaScript/TypeScript in large-scale production applications.

• Strong proficiency in state management using Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar tools.

• Capability to produce modular, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.

• Robust skills in testing and debugging intricate frontend applications.

• Profound interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems.

• Comfortable working in a remote, globally dispersed team.

• Effective communication skills.

• Strong proficiency in English communication.

• Preferred: experience in developing desktop applications using Electron, Tauri, or comparable runtimes.

• Preferred: knowledge of video/audio APIs, WebRTC, media streams, and real-time communication.

• Preferred: proven ability to enhance UI performance, including rendering and memory management.

• Preferred: experience in creating cross-platform applications for macOS, Windows, Linux, or similar operating systems.

• Bonus: contributions to open-source initiatives, particularly in P2P or decentralized technology.
