This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Ensure that all pilot and test missions adhere to the regulations set forth by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), along with state-specific mandates for autonomous vehicle (AV) testing and deployment.
• Develop and uphold standard operating procedures for handling freight disruptions, weather delays, and operational exceptions to minimize their impact on customer supply chains.
• Identify and address operational bottlenecks, implementing process enhancements to reduce unnecessary dwell time and delays during transit.
• Supervise the daily freight movement for commercial pilot partners, ensuring that delivery Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met and facilitating smooth hub-to-hub operations.
• Serve as the main operational contact for pilot customers, conducting regular operational reviews, providing performance metrics, and transforming customer feedback into actionable operational workflows.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to offer operational insights that influence the development of internal dispatching tools, driver scheduling, asset and service tracking, and freight management software.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight brokerage, carrier operations, or fleet management, with a strong preference for those who have managed fleets or commercial accounts.
• Extensive practical knowledge of FMCSA regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) exceptions and DOT safety management controls.
• Strong analytical abilities, capable of utilizing transportation management systems (TMS) to enhance Stack’s delivery SLA performance and overall operational efficiency.
• Demonstrated capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where operational workflows are being developed from the ground up.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with a proven history of managing enterprise-level corporate clients.
