Freelance Short-Form Social and Digital Editor – Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Produce short-form edits from episodes, promotional materials, and raw footage while adhering to strict daily and weekly deadlines

• Adjust and reformat content for various aspect ratios including 9x16, 1x1, 4x5, and 16x9

• Incorporate branding, endboards, subtitles, and on-screen text according to channel standards

• Respond promptly and accurately to client feedback

• Handle multiple briefs simultaneously while keeping producers informed

• Develop video highlights, promotional resizes, rebranding, montages, shout-outs, and watchlist content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in editing short-form or social media content, preferably for broadcast or entertainment brands

• Proficient in Premiere Pro

• Strong understanding of pacing, effective hooks, and platform-specific content strategies

• Ability to work quickly without sacrificing attention to detail

• Access to reliable internet and a personal editing setup

• Comfortable with remote work, occasionally under tight deadlines

• Portfolio link(s) must be included in your CV
