Freelance Shopify Shop Builder / Web Designer – Wine Industry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop Shopify storefronts in the frontend following wireframes and utilizing a theme builder.

• Execute theme implementation, menu and category organization, product page templates, and conversion rate optimization elements as per the brief.

• Set up editable Shopify fields and manage placeholders until they receive approval.

• Establish shipping and checkout configurations, incorporating the six-bottle rule, free-shipping thresholds, and invoice payment options.

• Maintain documentation of outstanding items and placeholder lists for Project Management, Content, and IT teams.

• Adhere to the outlined processes, timelines, and criteria for completion.

• Recognize scope deviations and report them promptly.

• Engage in an introductory call, trial project, and follow the framework agreement process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with 20+ Shopify stores built and launched, preferably within the wine, food, or lifestyle industries.

• Fundamental knowledge of Liquid.

• Familiarity with configurable Shopify sections and blocks.

• Proficient in Git and GitHub, including branches, commits, and pull requests.

• A conversion rate optimization mindset emphasizing trust signals, social proof, and the customer journey.

• Experience in performance optimization and mobile testing on actual devices.

• Strong discipline in process and time management, focusing on criteria for completion.

• Awareness of scope and the importance of early communication regarding requirements beyond the fixed-price agreement.

• Proficiency with Claude.

• At least three impressive live stores developed independently, detailing your role and the outcomes for each.

• A brief overview of the most recent issue resolved with Claude (Code): task, approach, and result.

• An approximate estimate of the time needed to build a standard store from a fixed wireframe.

• All communications should be conducted exclusively via Join; applications lacking the necessary materials will be dismissed.
