Freelance Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee multiple client projects concurrently across various industries and time zones, ensuring that scope, timelines, and budgets remain aligned.

• Establish project scope, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with clients.

• Lead the discovery phases to comprehend client business needs prior to development.

• Decompose complex requirements into manageable iterations for engineering teams.

• Sustain project documentation, backlogs, and roadmaps.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and reviews.

• Provide clients with consistent updates regarding project status, risks, and critical decisions.

• Define the scope and pricing for new engagements, contribute to proposals, and assist in presales activities.

• Collaborate with design, engineering, and QA teams to ensure features align with client expectations and user needs.

• Track project health using KPIs and proactively identify risks.

• Validate completed features against agreed-upon requirements prior to delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 4 years of project management experience within a digital agency setting.

• Practical experience with the presales process, including drafting proposals, scoping projects, and conducting discovery workshops.

• Strong comprehension of digital product development and a product management perspective.

• Experience in managing backlogs, crafting user stories, and working within an Agile delivery framework.

• Confidence in challenging client requirements and advocating for solutions that address actual business issues.

• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.

• Experience in Web3/DeFi, fintech, healthcare, or e-commerce is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with project and product management tools such as Jira, Notion, Linear, or similar platforms.

• Ability to operate across US and European time zones.

• Fluent in English at C1 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for client-facing roles.

• Background in working with distributed international teams across various countries and time zones.

• Proven track record of end-to-end project delivery in an agency context.

• Expertise in client relationship management and setting expectations.

• Experience in discovery, scoping, and proposal writing.

• Proficient in backlog management, user stories, and Agile ceremonies.

• Ability to think productively and validate requirements.

• Competence in budget and timeline management.

• Clear communication with both technical teams and non-technical clients.

• Capability to collaborate across cultures and within international teams.
