This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +2 more states.
• Collaborate with internal medical, scientific, and operational leaders, physician consultants, and key opinion leaders to formulate a publication strategy and roadmap.
• Lead the development of publication plans concentrating on manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and peer-reviewed scientific communications.
• Collect, evaluate, analyze, and synthesize research, site-network, and study data into written summaries and visual data representations.
• Oversee publication projects from initiation to submission and publication, encompassing proposals, timelines, stakeholder coordination, and review processes.
• Conduct literature reviews to provide scientific context, benchmarks, claims, and inform the publication strategy.
• Present findings to stakeholders and physician authors to ensure alignment on insights, messaging, and publication strategies.
• Create scientific communications that adhere to strategic priorities, journal/conference guidelines, and authorship standards.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to produce scientifically accurate external communications and educational materials.
• Manage multiple projects, balancing competing priorities, deadlines, and budgets effectively.
• Foster collaborative relationships with physician authors, scientific leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Undertake additional assigned duties and projects as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, English, communications, or a related area.
• At least 5 years of experience in developing medical or scientific publications.
• Proven experience in authoring, editing, and submitting manuscripts to peer-reviewed medical journals.
• Background in managing publications from conception through to submission.
• Skill in translating complex scientific and operational data into clear, accurate, and compelling narratives.
• Strong abilities in literature search, critical appraisal, scientific writing, and editing.
• Excellent project management skills, including timeline management and stakeholder coordination.
• Superior written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a freelance setting.
• Ability to manage urgent deadlines and shifting priorities while upholding quality and scientific integrity.
