Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer – AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Train and assess AI agents on expert-level tasks related to fluid simulations.

• Utilize CAD geometry to set up and conduct simulations.

• Create verified reference solutions.

• Develop Python scripts to check agent outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline such as energy or oil & gas.

• Several years of practical experience in industry or research CFD using OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+, including expertise in meshing.

• Strong practices in verification and validation: performing mesh independence studies and validating against experiments or benchmarks.

• Proficient in Python and GitHub.

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

• Preferred: background in aerospace, automotive, offshore, or turbomachinery; experience with multiphase or particle-laden flow.
