Freelance Korean to Thai Game Translator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread gaming content from Korean to Thai for both indie and AAA game localization projects.

• Ensure an exceptional gaming experience for Thai players.

• Adhere to guidelines for managing tags and character limits.

• Execute translation, proofreading, and MTPE tasks as necessary.

• Meet tight deadlines in a dynamic and creative setting.

• Complete a translation assessment and agree to a confidentiality agreement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Thai.

• Strong proficiency in both Korean and English.

• At least 2 years of experience in gaming localization and Korean-to-Thai proofreading.

• Specialized knowledge in Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy games.

• Familiarity with gaming terminology.

• Capability to follow guidelines regarding tags and character limits.

• Proficient in using CAT tools.

• Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and terminology.

• Ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced, creative environment.

• Must fulfill one of the following criteria: degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent with substantial translation training); 2+ years of translation experience coupled with a college degree; 5+ years of translation experience without a degree; or a translation certification from a recognized government authority.

• Applicants are required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

• Applicants must pass a translation test.
