Freelance Korean to Thai Game Translator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread content from Korean to Thai for various gaming localization projects.

• Engage in projects that span from indie games to major AAA titles.

• Guarantee an exceptional gaming experience for Thai players.

• Manage tags and adhere to character limits as per provided guidelines.

• Complete translation assessments and sign a confidentiality agreement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Thai at a native level.

• Strong command of both Korean and English languages.

• At least 2 years of experience in gaming localization, with a focus on Korean-to-Thai proofreading.

• Specialized knowledge in Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy game genres.

• Familiarity with gaming terminology is essential.

• Capability to follow instructions regarding tags and character limits.

• Proficient in the use of CAT tools.

• Exceptional grammar, spelling, and terminology skills.

• Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a dynamic, creative workspace.

• Must fulfill one of the following criteria: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent with substantial translation training); 2+ years of translation experience along with a college degree; 5+ years of translation experience with no degree required; or a translation certification issued by a relevant government authority.

• Candidates must sign a confidentiality agreement and complete a translation test.
