Freelance Korean to Thai Game Translator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread gaming content from Korean into Thai.

• Engage in localization initiatives that encompass both indie games and AAA titles.

• Ensure an exceptional gaming experience for players in Thailand.

• Manage gaming terminology, tags, and character limits effectively.

• Utilize CAT tools throughout the translation process.

• Adhere to deadlines within a dynamic and creative atmosphere.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Thai.

• Strong command of both Korean and English.

• At least 2 years of experience in gaming localization and proofreading from Korean to Thai.

• Expertise in Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy genres.

• Familiarity with gaming terminology is essential.

• Capability to adhere to instructions regarding tags and character limits.

• Proficiency in using CAT tools.

• Excellent skills in grammar, spelling, and terminology.

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, creative setting.

• Must fulfill one of the following criteria: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent with substantial translation training); 2+ years of translation experience along with a college degree; 5+ years of translation experience without a degree; or a translation certification from an appropriate government body.

• Must sign a confidentiality agreement.

• Must complete a translation assessment.
