Freelance Editor, Native English Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• View Japanese films and television shows in their original language.

• Develop and enhance synopses in English.

• Incorporate feedback through several review cycles.

• Edit synopses for individual films, series, and episodes.

• Manage a workload of 5–10 titles weekly.

• Work collaboratively with clients and international creative production teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a native English speaker.

• Proficient in the Japanese language.

• Reside in Japan.

• At least 2 years of professional experience in copywriting or editing.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to provide a portfolio or samples of previous work.

• Preferably experienced in writing and/or editing synopses for films or shows.

• Familiarity with JIRA, an asset management tool, is preferred.
