Freelance Concept Designer, Retail Point of Sale Displays

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Generate eye-catching retail displays that effectively balance aesthetics and functionality.

• Address creative briefs with ideas that are mindful of commercial viability.

• Design fixtures and components with careful consideration of materials, costs, and sustainability practices.

• Develop mood boards, sketches, 3D visuals, and presentation materials.

• Collaborate with Account Managers, Structural Engineers, and Production teams.

• Incorporate sustainable design principles through material efficiency, reduced carbon footprints, and modularity.

• Oversee multiple creative projects while responding to feedback efficiently.

• Create innovative retail display concepts from initial sketches to final specifications.

• Contribute to design-focused presentations and compelling commercial narratives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in Product, Industrial, Furniture, or 3D Design.

• A robust portfolio that illustrates the design process from conception to final product.

• Practical experience in designing Permanent POS retail displays.

• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, including Cinema 4D, Rhino, and the Adobe Creative Suite.

• Excellent sketching abilities.

• Understanding of materials such as wood, metal, and acrylics, along with manufacturing processes.

• Experience in design with a focus on environmental considerations.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Familiarity with design-led presentations, real-world solutions, and persuasive storytelling.

• Confidence in using project management tools while managing multiple deadlines.

• A portfolio is required to accompany the application.
