Founding Product and Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architecture and implementation of innovative customer-oriented digital solutions.

• Design and construct frontend interfaces, backend services, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.

• Develop capabilities for CI/CD, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and observability platforms.

• Create reusable services, frameworks, libraries, and architectural standards.

• Minimize development lifecycle challenges through automation and standardization.

• Serve as the technical lead on key projects, engaging in hands-on coding.

• Collaborate with engineers, product leaders, and designers.

• Guide engineers and elevate technical standards.

• Cultivate an engineering culture and development practices for SGS digital products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in React/TypeScript at an expert level for frontend development.

• Extensive experience in building distributed backends using Go, Python, or TypeScript.

• Hands-on, architectural-level proficiency with GCP or AWS.

• Familiarity with Terraform is essential.

• Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proven experience in creating modern CI/CD pipelines from the ground up, including GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.

• Capability to design scalable, resilient, and observable systems.

• Experience collaborating closely with Product and Design teams.

• Practical knowledge of monitoring, tracing, testing, and operational excellence.

• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, and Jaeger.

• Over 10 years of experience with strong expertise in product engineering and platform/SRE roles.
