This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Provide comprehensive electrical engineering solutions, encompassing load calculations, single-line diagrams, panel and cable schedules, conduit and equipment sizing, as well as construction sets.
• Take ownership of power-system studies, which include load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, and related analyses utilizing ETAP, SKM, or comparable tools.
• Design medium- and low-voltage distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, and power architectures for data centers.
• Automate electrical calculations, equipment selection, system configuration, drawing generation, and the creation of engineering documentation.
• Develop and enhance parametric design engines that produce electrical deliverables from a unified project template.
• Integrate electrical design with mechanical and structural systems to ensure that engineering modifications automatically propagate across all disciplines.
• Leverage AI coding agents, such as Claude Code, to create and implement workflows.
• Profound knowledge of power systems, covering aspects such as power flow, fault characteristics, protection, grounding, equipment functionality, and electrical-system trade-offs.
• Experience in designing, constructing, testing, or commissioning actual electrical or power systems.
• Capacity to address engineering challenges from foundational principles.
• Proficiency in deploying code using AI tools, even without a background in software development.
• Strong sense of ownership and the ability to deliver technically robust solutions independently.
• Experience with power electronics, medium-voltage systems, industrial power distribution, substations, or pioneering electrical hardware is especially valuable.
• A PE license is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A degree in Computer Science or a conventional software background is not necessary.
• Direct experience in data centers, construction, or architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) is not required.
• A solid understanding of engineering principles is essential, rather than rote memorization of every engineering standard.
• Comprehensive health plans fully funded with 100% dependent coverage.
• Equity in the founding team.
• Opportunity for remote work within the US or Canada, excluding Quebec.
