Founding Engineer – Full-Stack Generalist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the product from inception to completion as a versatile generalist handling frontend, backend, and infrastructure tasks.

• Develop, launch, and implement product enhancements independently without a supporting team.

• Maintain the health of the live platform by managing incidents, defects, releases, and rollbacks.

• Utilize AI and agentic coding tools while independently verifying accuracy, security, and robustness.

• Guide the platform towards achieving ISO 27001 and SOC 2 readiness by April 2027.

• Ensure that AI assistant and orchestration features are reliable, measurable, and secure.

• Make informed decisions on what to maintain, isolate, enhance, or replace based on customer risk and commercial value.

• Strengthen, scale, and advance delivery intelligence, AI assistant capabilities, SOW ingestion, project/resource/commercial management, and beta orchestration features.

• Serve as the hands-on technical owner of the company.

• Potentially assist in defining the role of the first supporting engineering hire once funding is secured.

• Work closely with both technical and non-technical founders in a dynamic and evolving environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with background in early-stage startups or high-ownership roles.

• More than 5 years of senior-level full-stack engineering experience, particularly with React/TypeScript for frontend and Node/Postgres-style backend, or modern JavaScript/TypeScript alternatives such as Next.js or Vue/Nuxt.

• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of software products or platforms.

• At least 4 years of senior-level experience with independent cloud deployment, releases, and CI/CD, or production infrastructure operations without a dedicated DevOps/platform team.

• A minimum of 3 years of senior-level experience with Postgres/Supabase or similar, including row-level security and edge functions.

• 1–2 years of senior-level experience utilizing AI-assisted/agentic coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot, or significant and disciplined professional experience with LLMs.

• A clear methodology for validating AI-generated outputs for accuracy, security, and robustness.

• Comfortable working as a senior/staff-level individual contributor generalist, capable of owning a product or platform end-to-end independently or nearly independently.

• Formal project-leadership titles are not a prerequisite.
