Foster Care Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Support youth and caregivers to ensure the success and stability of foster placements.

• Promote visibility and awareness of the foster care program.

• Assist with various administrative tasks.

• Participate in marketing and outreach initiatives.

• Improve the program’s presence on social media platforms.

• Conduct home visits to assess and support foster placements.

• Provide case management and assistance to foster families.

• Coordinate necessary services for families.

• Manage documentation and compliance responsibilities.

• Collaborate with internal colleagues and community partners.

• Create content or materials for outreach purposes.

• Engage with the community to attract and support new foster homes.

• Be available during some evenings or weekends based on family needs, events, or outreach opportunities.

• Participate in an on-call weekend rotation to provide 24/7 support and coverage for foster families in the Columbia area during emergencies or urgent situations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid Driver License is required.

• Must meet all credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards relevant to the department.

• Bachelor’s Degree in social work or a related field is necessary.

• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications is essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

• Designation as a Qualified Professional in SC is required.

• Successful completion of a drug screening test is mandatory.

• An extensive background check will be conducted.

• Ability to primarily serve clients in Columbia, SC is essential.

• A strong passion for working with youth and adolescents is required.
