Forward Deployed Engineer, Life Sciences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Gain mastery over the mechanics of the Domino platform along with its essential user and admin functionalities.

• Collaborate closely with a senior Forward Deployed Engineer to shadow customer environments.

• Take charge of key strategic accounts within the life sciences sector.

• Work independently to execute tasks from prioritized backlogs overseen by an Engagement Manager.

• Develop and implement production-grade solutions throughout the MLOps lifecycle, which includes development, deployment, and monitoring.

• Provide guidance to data science teams on best practices for using Domino.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to both technical and business stakeholders for key accounts.

• Create reusable playbooks, integration templates, and deployment documentation.

• Convert field intelligence into actionable product feedback for the SRE, Support, and Product teams.

• Construct AI workflows, specialized AI inferencing workflows, custom cloud and data integrations, interactive applications, and solutions involving SCE and clinical CRM.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid engineering foundation with extensive expertise in Python (primary), along with knowledge of SQL, R, and Bash.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and managed Kubernetes solutions like EKS, AKS, or GKE.

• Experience with Docker and cloud architecture on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Proficient in troubleshooting networking, compute, and platform-related issues.

• Proven success in delivering machine learning workflows, model deployment and monitoring, GPU workloads, and frameworks for generative AI or agents.

• Background in operating within or consulting for highly regulated or constrained environments.

• Ability to navigate stringent compliance regulations, data security challenges, and infrastructure limitations.

• Outstanding communication skills that resonate with both technical and business audiences.

• Comfortable facilitating structured discovery discussions and leading technical solution sessions.

• Capable of translating customer needs into feasible, tested solutions.

• Action-oriented mindset; adept at thriving in ambiguous situations and quickly becoming productive in unfamiliar codebases.
