Forward Deployed Engineer, Life Sciences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Master the mechanics of the Domino platform and its core user/admin functionalities during the onboarding process.

• Observe customer environments while collaborating with a senior Forward Deployed Engineer.

• Take complete ownership of strategic engagements with life sciences customers.

• Work independently from a prioritized backlog overseen by the Engagement Manager.

• Construct and implement production-grade solutions throughout the MLOps lifecycle, which includes development, deployment, and monitoring.

• Provide guidance to data science teams on Domino best practices.

• Act as a trusted advisor to both technical and business stakeholders for key accounts.

• Create reusable playbooks, integration templates, and deployment documentation.

• Enhance delivery speed within the Forward Deployed Engineer practice.

• Convert field intelligence into product feedback for SRE, Support, and Product teams.

• Develop and implement AI solutions, including inferencing workflows, cloud and data integrations, interactive applications, Statistical Computing Environments, and clinical CRM solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in engineering with extensive proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with SQL, R, and Bash programming languages.

• Experience with Kubernetes and managed Kubernetes solutions such as EKS, AKS, or GKE.

• Knowledge of Docker and cloud architecture on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues related to networking, compute, and platform.

• Proven experience in delivering machine learning workflows, model deployment and monitoring, GPU workloads, and generative AI or agent frameworks.

• Experience working within or consulting for highly regulated or constrained environments.

• Capability to navigate stringent compliance rules, data security challenges, and infrastructure limitations.

• Exceptional communication skills tailored for both technical and business audiences.

• Comfort in facilitating structured discovery discussions and leading technical solution sessions.

• Ability to translate customer needs into buildable, tested solutions.

• Action-oriented and ownership-driven mindset; adept at handling ambiguity and unfamiliar codebases.
