Forward Deployed Engineer – Global Public Sector Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Observe Forward Deployed Engineers and Deployment Strategists during client meetings and collaborative sessions.

• Understand how business challenges transform into AI-driven solutions.

• Assist in the creation of AI agents that perform tangible actions for government, nonprofit, and educational sectors.

• Develop and evaluate prompts, enhancing the reasoning capabilities and tool usage of agents.

• Manage an intern project that could be a tool, prototype, or internal accelerator.

• Aid in constructing data pipelines and integrating systems with Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, or Databricks.

• Help design dashboards to monitor agent performance.

• Create proofs-of-concept that evolve from initial concepts to functional demos.

• Share findings and ideas with senior engineers and the product development team.

• Deliver a capstone project presentation at the conclusion of the 12-week program.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as this position entails collaboration with U.S. Government agencies.

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Proficient in at least one of the following: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex, with a readiness to learn additional languages.

• Some familiarity with LLMs and prompt engineering gained through academic projects, personal endeavors, hackathons, or previous internships.

• Basic knowledge of APIs, databases, and data modeling concepts.

• Relevant coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities that align with the skills required for this role.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

• A strong interest in AI and a willingness to experiment with new tools and models.
