Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with enterprise clients to grasp their business needs, operational workflows, challenges, and success metrics.

• Develop, construct, and showcase innovative solutions, prototypes, and workflows that illustrate customer value.

• Manage the complete technical deployment of Wand for US enterprise clients, overseeing everything from evaluation and solution design to production go-live.

• Convert customer requirements into solution designs, agent architectures, workflow logic, integration specifications, and deployment strategies.

• Present technical solutions, demonstrations, prototypes, and deployment strategies to technical teams, business executives, and leadership.

• Diagnose issues related to APIs, authentication, data, workflow logic, agent behavior, and customer systems.

• Assist in late-stage pre-sales activities that involve solution design, technical feasibility, implementation planning, and showcasing customer value.

• Develop implementation playbooks, solution patterns, demo workflows, and deployment documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in a customer-facing technical position such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, AI Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, or a comparable role.

• Significant experience in building agents, agentic workflows, LLM-driven applications, or AI automation solutions.

• Quick comprehension of customer needs with the ability to convert them into effective technical solutions.

• Extensive practical experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, tool-calling, RAG, orchestration, multi-agent workflows, evaluation, and debugging agent behavior.

• Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, or similar agentic/LLM development frameworks.

• Strong practical skills in APIs, integrations, scripting, debugging, and cloud/web environments.

• Proficient coding or scripting abilities in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages.

• Capability to build swiftly, demonstrate effectively, and iterate based on client feedback.

• Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• High level of ownership and comfort with ambiguity and changing priorities.

• Experience in deploying AI, agentic, automation, or enterprise SaaS products into production environments.

• Background in developing customer-facing demos, prototypes, or proof-of-value solutions.

• Experience in pre-sales, post-sales, implementation, or field engineering contexts.

• Integration experience with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, JWT, mTLS, and third-party enterprise systems.

• Familiarity with VPC or on-prem deployments, cloud infrastructure, containers, databases, logs, and production troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of enterprise security, data privacy, RBAC, audit, governance, and compliance requirements.

• Experience in working with regulated industries or enterprise clients with complex security and compliance demands.

• Previous startup experience in an early-stage or high-growth environment.
