Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Become a part of a team comprising 5 FDEs and 2 Product Managers under the leadership of the Head of Product.

• Establish strong connections with the Sales team, serving as the technical representative for customer needs.

• Forge relationships with Account Executives to facilitate pre-sales discovery, demonstrations, solution design, POCs, and ongoing support.

• Assist the Sales team in estimating potential deals during the POC phase based on data-processing volumes.

• Convert intricate observability challenges into technical solutions utilizing Tsuga.

• Provide hands-on demonstrations that address issues related to logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.

• Offer technical expertise on integrations with OpenTelemetry, AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Act as a liaison between customer requirements and the product team, addressing minor issues during POC phases.

• Handle RFP responses and support technical assessments and procurement processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native English speaker (a requirement for this position).

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in roles such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, DevOps, SRE, or prior software engineering, particularly in a SaaS or observability-focused setting.

• Strong knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure, microservices, and monitoring/telemetry tools including Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.

• Familiarity with container orchestration using Kubernetes.

• Capability to develop internal tools as needed to ensure customer technical success.

• Demonstrated ability to articulate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Comfortable in rapid sales cycles and adaptable to customer-specific scenarios.

• Must be based in the UK.
