Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in developing a data ontology and foundational elements that will support future predictive modeling capabilities.

• Contribute to a Workshop-based application utilizing Foundry’s Workshop/Slate application layer.

• Create and maintain natural-language querying over structured data.

• Facilitate the integration of policy and reference documents into Foundry as searchable content.

• Implement rules-based logic and reusable business definitions anchored to the platform's Ontology.

• Engage in agile sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming sessions.

• Showcase working capabilities to government stakeholders.

• Collaborate with client stakeholders and platform project managers under the Deployment Strategist.

• Produce technical documentation and configuration notes for handoffs and future roadmap phases.

• Provide solutions for defect resolution, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvements.

• Assist in bi-weekly progress reports and sprint status updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with Palantir Foundry, including pipelines, Workshop/Slate, and Ontology configuration.

• 3-5 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or systems integration.

• Exposure to regulated or compliance-driven data domains is advantageous.

• Proficient in Python, TypeScript, or Java within a data platform or analytics environment.

• Understanding of data governance practices in federal or public-sector data settings.

• Able to work with moderate independence throughout the build, test, and deployment lifecycle, while escalating complex architectural decisions to senior engineering personnel.
