Forward Deployed Engineer – AI & Business Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Analyze existing workflows from start to finish to identify operational inefficiencies, handoff issues, governance deficiencies, and mismatches in tools.

• Redesign future-state operations for streamlined workflows, improved decision-making authority, and enhanced collaboration between humans and AI.

• Create operating models that encompass organizational structure, roles, governance, cross-functional interaction frameworks, and value realization processes.

• Set performance baselines and measurement systems to monitor progress and improvements.

• Detect value gaps in stalled implementations and re-establish the route to return on investment (ROI).

• Develop AI-driven prototypes utilizing LLM APIs, platform-specific features, and low-code/no-code tools.

• Leverage working demos and prototypes to align stakeholders with client processes.

• Assess practical applications of AI and guide clients on achievable expectations.

• Assist in the deployment of new tools and workflows through effective process design and change management.

• Create enablement materials that link technology implementations to the operating model.

• Aid in engagement scoping and diagnostic evaluations for value capture, implementation readiness, and adoption strategies.

• Contribute reusable frameworks and tools to enhance practice qualification and scoping.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in management consulting or related roles in enterprise technology, SaaS, or professional services.

• Proven expertise in at least two of the following areas: organizational design, operating model transformation, change management, technology enablement, process engineering, or go-to-market strategies.

• A solid history of constructing structured, evidence-based arguments to persuade and align senior stakeholders.

• Practical experience in developing functional AI-powered workflows, automation processes, and prototypes.

• Capability to quickly scope and create a working proof of concept during client engagements.

• Ability to work independently without reliance on a dedicated engineering team.

• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on identifying root causes and flawed processes.

• Responsibility for delivering measurable outcomes and impact.

• Competence to work in a forward-deployed capacity alongside client engineers, product leads, and operators.

• Experience in large-scale organizational evaluations, process redesigns, or extensive technology rollouts is highly desirable.
