Forward Deployed Consultant, Manufacturing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with senior executives to outline an AI transformation agenda that Miro can embrace.

• Initiate discussions with CxOs to raise awareness of the possibilities that AI offers for the business.

• Assess opportunities prior to committing to a Validation Sprint, considering sponsor authority, commitment, and potential for multi-year relationships.

• Co-develop Validation Sprint charters alongside the Account Executive.

• Manage Validation Sprints from start to finish: immerse, prioritize, build, and present results.

• Create and evaluate solutions using real customer data and systems.

• Redesign manufacturing processes based on AI-first principles across NPI and gate reviews, quality and continuous improvement, portfolio and program management, operations and launch readiness, as well as process development and transformation.

• Leverage Miro's AI Workflows, Prototypes, Goals, Roadmaps & Delivery capabilities, API, WebSDK, and MCP integrations into ERP, PLM, MES, and quality systems.

• Transform Sprint outcomes into compelling business value narratives, ROI models, and KPI baselines.

• Assist executive leadership with Value Story presentations.

• Co-manage the conversion of Sprint outcomes into partnership proposals and commercial strategies with the AE.

• Define the scope of post-sale Professional Services and ensure a smooth handover.

• Compile and disseminate insights internally with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams, as well as externally through thought leadership efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in top-tier consulting, forward-deployed engineering, solution consulting, or enterprise transformation, with a focus on manufacturing and industrial sectors.

• Profound knowledge of manufacturing operational processes: NPI and stage-gate/APQP, engineering change management, quality systems (FMEA, 8D, PPAP), S&OP and production planning, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement, maintenance and reliability.

• Proficient in the industrial enterprise stack: ERP (SAP or equivalent), PLM (Teamcenter, Windchill, 3DEXPERIENCE), MES, quality management systems, and data management.

• Established credibility with COO, Chief Supply Chain Officer, VP Operations, VP Quality, and Plant General Manager stakeholders.

• Exceptional skills in Generative AI tools: Miro, Cursor, Claude Code and Cowork, ChatGPT, Google and Microsoft suites, MCP integrations, prompt and context engineering.

• Ability to independently construct working solutions and coordinate with an AI Engineer when necessary.

• Competence to create a before/after value narrative with financial and ROI analysis that withstands scrutiny from finance departments.

• A mindset focused on business problems rather than products.

• An inquisitive nature to analyze any process thoroughly.

• Comfort in both boardroom discussions and plant environments.

• A self-motivated individual who can operate independently and navigate ambiguity.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 40% of the time.
