Forward Deployed AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Lead technical discovery sessions with clients to gain insights into their systems, data, workflows, security needs, and technical obstacles.

• Convert business requirements and approved architectures into precise technical plans, implementation priorities, and deployment activities.

• Create and integrate production-ready solutions utilizing APIs, enterprise applications, cloud services, data platforms, and AI technologies.

• Collaborate with AI Engineers, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and Architects to align technical implementation and address integration challenges.

• Manage technical deployment and rollout within the defined scope, ensuring solutions function reliably in client environments.

• Partner closely with client teams during implementation, troubleshoot technical issues, support adoption efforts, and empower users to utilize deployed solutions.

• Monitor technical delivery progress, production performance, costs, and measurable outcomes while documenting solutions and reusable engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in developing, integrating, and deploying production software, AI, data, or cloud solutions.

• Proficiency in writing, debugging, and maintaining production-quality code.

• Experience in integrating enterprise applications, APIs, data sources, authentication systems, and cloud services.

• Demonstrated ability to convert technical requirements into implementation plans and production deployments.

• Experience collaborating directly with clients or business stakeholders while maintaining technical ownership.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey technical decisions, risks, and implementation challenges to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong programming capabilities in at least one relevant language, such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or C#/.NET.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, enterprise integrations, and backend services.

• Practical experience with at least one major cloud ecosystem, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Knowledge of software engineering practices, including Git, testing, CI/CD, containers, and production monitoring.

• Understanding of AI/GenAI technologies, including LLM APIs, RAG, AI agents, and AI-enabled workflows.

• Insight into application security, authentication, identity management, and production deployment practices.

• Advanced experience in building GenAI applications, RAG systems, or agentic workflows.

• Familiarity with frameworks and tools such as LangGraph, MCP, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar technologies.

• Background in backend, full-stack, data, or cloud/platform engineering.

• Experience in designing solutions for complex enterprise or regulated environments.

• Consulting or professional services experience with multiple clients.

• Experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Customer Engineering, or other client-embedded technical roles.
