Forward Deployed AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create full-stack AI/ML applications on Cloudera to showcase how AI and agentic systems address real enterprise challenges.

• Collaborate directly with customer teams to advance AI and agentic use cases from initial prototypes to production-ready solutions.

• Provide guidance to customer leaders on AI roadmaps, solution architecture, deployment strategies, and AI use cases.

• Standardize successful methodologies into repeatable reference architectures, productized solutions, starter kits, and internal playbooks.

• Serve as a thought leader, mentor Cloudera teams, and contribute to resources that enhance overall AI capabilities.

• Relay field and customer insights back to Product teams to continually enhance the AI platform and related products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in developing and deploying production-grade systems.

• 2–4 years of experience specifically dedicated to building ML systems or GenAI and agentic applications.

• Strong practical skills in software engineering, data engineering, and applied AI/ML.

• Proven experience in constructing full-stack ML applications or agentic systems utilizing contemporary AI frameworks and tools.

• Familiarity with MLOps frameworks, LLM orchestration, and modern AI technologies (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, vLLM, Ray, MLflow).

• Practical experience with Vector Databases and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.

• Background in client-facing consulting, technical account management, or solution architecture in enterprise settings.

• Knowledge of distributed data engineering platforms (Apache Spark, Iceberg, Kubernetes).
