This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate closely with clients to grasp their objectives, workflows, technical landscapes, data, and operational limitations.
• Convert unclear business challenges into technical specifications, solution architectures, prototypes, and delivery strategies.
• Design and develop AI-enabled applications, agentic workflows, developer tools, APIs, data pipelines, and full-stack products.
• Construct AI model harnesses, encompassing prompts, tools, context, memory, permissions, runtime controls, observability, and feedback systems.
• Develop and enhance agent loops for planning, tool selection, execution, observation, reflection, recovery, and termination.
• Represent intricate workflows through graphs, state machines, and orchestration patterns.
• Establish evaluation frameworks that assess completion, accuracy, reliability, safety, latency, cost, and user value.
• Create prototypes and proofs of concept, validate these with users and assessments, and transform successful concepts into secure, scalable products.
• Integrate solutions with client systems, enterprise data sources, cloud services, and third-party platforms.
• Contribute across the technological stack, incorporating interfaces, backend services, AI infrastructure, data workflows, and deployment pipelines.
• Implement safeguards, permissions, approval processes, and fallback mechanisms for autonomous systems.
• Equip AI applications for trace inspection, intermediate-state analysis, failure diagnosis, and performance enhancement.
• Identify and mitigate issues such as hallucinations, looping, fragile tool calls, context loss, prompt injection, nondeterministic behavior, and unsafe actions.
• Resolve technical and operational challenges in client environments.
• Articulate technical decisions, risks, trade-offs, and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Work alongside product managers, designers, engineers, data specialists, security teams, and client stakeholders.
• Implement automated testing, documentation, observability, security, and continuous delivery practices.
• Capture reusable patterns, components, and insights for future projects.
• Assist in technical discovery, solution demonstrations, workshops, and pre-sales discussions.
• Establish trusted relationships with clients, comprehend their operational environments, and deliver functional software addressing significant business challenges.
• Professional experience in creating and deploying production-grade software, preferably including AI-powered or agentic systems.
• Strong expertise in Python, TypeScript, or another language typically used for developing AI applications, platforms, and developer tools.
• Practical experience in harness engineering.
• Background in building or working with agent loops.
• Familiarity with graph-based orchestration, state machines, and multi-step workflows.
• Experience in designing evaluation systems for AI applications.
• Understanding of prompts, context management, memory, retrieval, tool usage, structured outputs, and model selection.
• Experience in instrumenting AI systems to trace decisions, inspect intermediate states, assess quality, and diagnose failures.
• Solid knowledge of APIs, distributed systems, databases, cloud infrastructure, and modern software development practices.
• Ability to rapidly grasp unfamiliar systems, technologies, and business domains.
• Capability to transition from an ambiguous customer problem to a functional prototype and production system.
• Strong product judgment balancing capability, reliability, latency, cost, security, and user experience.
• Experience collaborating directly with customers, stakeholders, or cross-functional delivery teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Comfort working in dynamic environments with shifting requirements and constraints.
• High levels of ownership, curiosity, empathy, and a proactive approach to action.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client workshops or on-site project delivery.
• Nice-to-have experience with agent frameworks, workflow engines, coding agents, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector search, knowledge graphs, fine-tuning, model routing, AI observability, multi-agent systems, AI security, cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, regulated enterprise environments, consulting, solutions engineering, and product launches.
• Claude Certified Architect certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Engage in high-impact challenges across various industries and technology domains.
• Build tangible products and production systems—not merely recommendations or presentations.
• Work directly with clients and witness the impact of your decisions.
• Explore innovative approaches to AI, agentic systems, product development, and software delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams that prioritize experimentation and continuous learning.
• Influence both client outcomes and TribalScale’s evolving technical practices.
• Foster ownership, diverse perspectives, and thoughtful innovation.
• Commitment to equal employment opportunities and workplace accommodations.
