This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate closely with clients to grasp their objectives, workflows, technical environments, data, and operational limitations.
• Convert unclear business challenges into clear technical requirements, architectures, prototypes, and delivery strategies.
• Design and develop AI-driven applications, agentic workflows, developer tools, APIs, data pipelines, and comprehensive full-stack products.
• Create AI-model harnesses, encompassing prompts, tools, context, memory, permissions, runtime controls, observability, and feedback mechanisms.
• Construct and enhance agent loops for planning, tool selection, execution, observation, reflection, recovery, and termination.
• Represent complex workflows as graphs, state machines, or orchestration patterns.
• Develop evaluation frameworks that assess completion, accuracy, reliability, safety, latency, cost, and user value.
• Build prototypes and proofs of concept, validate them with users and evaluations, and transform successful concepts into secure, scalable products.
• Integrate solutions with client systems, enterprise data sources, cloud platforms, and third-party services.
• Contribute across the technology stack, including interfaces, backend services, AI infrastructure, data workflows, and deployment pipelines.
• Establish safeguards, permission boundaries, approval processes, and fallbacks.
• Instrument AI applications to analyze traces, intermediate states, failures, and performance metrics.
• Identify and resolve hallucinations, looping issues, fragile tool calls, context loss, prompt injection, nondeterminism, and unsafe actions.
• Troubleshoot technical and operational challenges within client environments.
• Convey technical decisions, risks, trade-offs, and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, engineers, data specialists, security teams, and client stakeholders.
• Implement automated testing, documentation, observability, security, and continuous delivery practices.
• Capture reusable patterns, components, and insights for future projects.
• Support technical discovery, demonstrations, workshops, and pre-sales discussions.
• Foster trusted client relationships and deliver working software solutions to significant business challenges.
• Proven experience in building and deploying production-grade software, preferably including AI-powered or agentic systems.
• Strong expertise in Python, TypeScript, or another language commonly used for developing AI applications, platforms, and developer tools.
• Practical knowledge in harness engineering.
• Experience in creating or working with agent loops.
• Familiarity with graph-based orchestration, state machines, and multi-step workflows.
• Experience in designing evaluation systems for AI applications.
• Understanding of prompts, context management, memory, retrieval, tool usage, structured outputs, and model selection.
• Experience in instrumenting AI systems to trace decisions, inspect intermediate states, measure quality, and diagnose failures.
• Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, databases, cloud infrastructure, and contemporary software development practices.
• Ability to quickly comprehend unfamiliar systems, technologies, and business domains.
• Capacity to progress from an ambiguous customer problem to a functioning prototype and production system.
• Strong product judgment balancing capability, reliability, latency, cost, security, and user experience.
• Experience collaborating directly with customers, stakeholders, or cross-functional delivery teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Comfort in fast-paced environments with changing requirements and technical constraints.
• High degree of ownership, curiosity, empathy, and a proactive approach.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client workshops or on-site delivery.
• Nice-to-have: experience with agent frameworks, workflow engines, coding agents, or custom model-orchestration systems.
• Nice-to-have: knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector search, knowledge graphs, fine-tuning, and model-routing strategies.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with AI observability, cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and AI security.
• Nice-to-have: Claude Certified Architect certification or equivalent.
• Engage with high-impact challenges across diverse industries and technology domains.
• Develop tangible products and production systems—beyond mere recommendations or presentations.
• Work directly with clients and witness the outcomes of your decisions.
• Investigate emerging methods in AI, agentic systems, product development, and software delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams that emphasize experimentation and continuous learning.
• Influence both client results and TribalScale’s advancing technical practices.
• Ownership, diverse perspectives, and innovative thinking are actively promoted.
• Equal employment opportunities and accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
