Forensic – Toxicological Chemist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create intricate single-turn prompts within the realms of chemistry and chemical safety.

• Classify prompts as benign, dual-use, or adversarial.

• Assess model responses according to a specified policy standard.

• Evaluate whether model responses appropriately addressed technical inquiries.

• Develop reference answers that outline correct responses along with the technical rationale behind them.

• Test if advanced AI models can differentiate between legitimate technical inquiries and potentially harmful misuse requests.

• Provide written explanations for every assessment that can be understood by non-specialists.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in forensic or toxicological chemistry casework.

• Experience in identifying substances and their precursors.

• Background in defending conclusions in written reports or in court.

• Relevant expertise in controlled substance casework, encompassing identification and quantitation.

• Relevant knowledge in clandestine laboratory responses, precursor identification, and scene chemistry.

• Relevant experience in forensic toxicology, including postmortem or human performance casework.

• Relevant background in monitoring trends related to seized drugs and precursors or conducting intelligence analysis.

• Experience in expert testimony and report writing concerning chemical casework.

• Capability to differentiate between routine professional inquiries and those involving misuse.

• Strong writing abilities and capacity to provide rationales that are comprehensible to non-specialists.

• Prior experience in technical writing, published research, or serving as an expert witness is highly preferred.

• Submission of a technical writing sample or link is required.

• Must refrain from using classified, export-controlled, NDA-covered, or prepublication-review information.

• Ability to disclose any existing confidentiality obligations to ensure appropriate scoping of work.
