This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create challenging single-turn prompts related to forensic and toxicological chemistry, categorized as benign, dual-use, or adversarial.
• Assess model responses based on a predetermined policy standard.
• Determine whether responses adequately address legitimate inquiries and decline those that are hazardous.
• Develop reference answers that outline correct responses along with the technical rationale behind them.
• Utilize casework expertise to differentiate between standard professional inquiries and those suggesting misuse.
• Offer written explanations that can be easily understood by non-specialists.
• Experience in forensic or toxicological chemistry casework.
• Ability to identify substances and precursors, and defend findings in reports or during testimony.
• Relevant experience may encompass controlled substance casework in a forensic laboratory, including identification and quantification.
• Relevant experience may include responses to clandestine laboratories, precursor identification, and scene chemistry.
• Relevant experience may involve forensic toxicology, including postmortem or human performance casework.
• Relevant experience may consist of monitoring trends in seized drugs and precursors or conducting intelligence analysis.
• Relevant experience may include providing expert testimony and writing reports related to chemical casework.
• Excellent writing skills; every assessment should include a written rationale that is accessible to non-specialists.
• Previous technical writing, published research, or expert witness experience is highly regarded.
• Must refrain from using classified or export-controlled information, NDA-covered data, or any information subject to prepublication review requirements.
• Must disclose any such obligations to appropriately scope the work.
• Must submit a technical writing sample or link if available.
• Capability to read and write about misuse scenarios in the field for extended periods.
• Up to $250 for each successful referral made through the referral link.
