Float Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver evidence-based therapy for individuals, families, and groups dealing with eating disorders and related diagnoses through telehealth.

• Modify care plans to guarantee continuity of care during clinician absences, leaves, or periods of high demand.

• Maintain clinical availability during specified peak hours, which includes 3–4 late evening shifts weekly.

• Perform diagnostic assessments, triage, risk management, and crisis intervention.

• Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, mentors, and external providers for treatment coordination and care transitions.

• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and facilitate between-session patient communication using Equip’s EMR.

• Engage in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, clinical supervision, case conferences, and training sessions.

• Follow scheduled session hours, meet productivity targets, and adhere to administrative response-time standards.

• Provide rapid-response therapy coverage across state lines to maintain continuity of care for Equip’s nationwide patient community.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in delivering direct evidence-based psychotherapy in an outpatient or telepsychology environment.

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health discipline from an accredited institution.

• Valid, unrestricted, and independent clinical state license permitting independent clinical practice.

• Active state licenses and/or relevant interstate compact authorizations that allow clinical practice in 30 or more states across the U.S.

• Proven experience in working with eating disorders and providing related treatment.

• Consistent scheduling availability for 3–4 late evening shifts weekly, until at least 6pm PST.

• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities such as FBT, CBT, and ACT delivered via telehealth.

• Experience in conducting rapid clinical intake evaluations, risk assessments, and crisis interventions.

• Capability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary care team and manage complex patient transitions on short notice.

• Competence in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and digital telehealth platforms.

• Availability to commit 30 hours per week to direct patient care.

• Willingness to attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
