Executive Director, Authorized Treatment Center – Cell Therapy Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Build and lead a team of experts in cellular therapy operations responsible for treatment center authorization and achieving Iovance objectives for the commercialized TIL therapy.

• Direct the formulation of strategies and tactical execution to ensure treatment centers are qualified and ready for commercial launch.

• Oversee and enhance Iovance and ATC Cell Therapy Operations strategies and project plans, including ongoing cross-functional improvements with QA, Commercial, IT, Medical Affairs, and Manufacturing.

• Act as an internal authority on Cell Therapy operations, COI/COC, treatment center authorization, and business infrastructure.

• Represent the organization externally through presentations, meetings, and events.

• Plan and manage both individual and team performance in alignment with launch objectives, ATC qualification and authorization language, BLA application, and FDA guidelines.

• Ensure the achievement of milestones and documentation through collaboration with team members and treatment centers.

• Develop operational dashboards and reports to track KPIs and compliance.

• Establish and implement policies, processes, and systems for tumor collection, courier operations, and order intake, including evaluation and change control mechanisms.

• Create post-monitoring strategies for authorized treatment centers.

• Maintain technical and professional knowledge through Iovance documentation, SOPs, conferences, and professional networks.

• Develop processes to address treatment center inquiries, issues, and investigations.

• Provide departmental oversight of quality processes in collaboration with Iovance’s Quality Department and treatment centers.

• Partner with industry organizations and cell therapy partners regarding quality and regulatory matters.

• Travel 50% of the time.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree or BA/BS in biological sciences, nursing, or other health sciences.

• At least 15 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in nursing, clinical operations, surgical oncology, cell therapy, or transplant/infusion.

• A minimum of seven years of leadership experience is required.

• Extensive clinical and operational expertise in Oncology and Cellular Therapy, as well as in healthcare and academic hospital settings.

• Experience in leading teams and facilitating process improvements and quality management initiatives.

• Proven individual and team-oriented achievements.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical abilities with experience in metrics, outcomes, and data tracking tools specific to the cell therapy environment.

• Experience in problem-solving and multitasking.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Capability to meet deadlines and efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
