Fire Suppression System Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create fire suppression systems, which encompass sprinkler layouts, piping configurations, and integrated BIM models.

• Conduct hydraulic calculations to validate system performance, pipe dimensions, water flow, and pressure necessities.

• Generate fabrication drawings, material lists, and permit submission packages for assessment by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

• Collaborate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams to align Revit models and resolve conflicts prior to installation.

• Analyze project specifications, relevant NFPA standards, and field data to deliver precise, constructible designs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing fire suppression or fire sprinkler systems is mandatory.

• Expertise in AutoSPRINK is essential.

• Solid experience in Revit and BIM modeling is required.

• Familiarity with NFPA 13, NFPA 13D, NFPA 13R, and associated fire protection codes is necessary.

• Experience in performing hydraulic calculations and preparing fabrication documentation is required.

• Capability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and architectural backgrounds is essential.

• Experience in coordinating multi-trade models on commercial or industrial construction projects is required.

• Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, organizational abilities, and capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently are essential.

• Completion of a Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification is required upon hiring.
