This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Assist providers, Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), and employer groups with precise, timely, and compliant onboarding processes.
• Oversee the complete onboarding process for payment and financial services platforms.
• Gather, validate, and process necessary banking, tax, and compliance documents.
• Confirm the accuracy of W-9s, banking confirmation letters, voided checks, entity formation documentation, and plan/account setup forms.
• Conduct NPI registry verification, OIG/SAM exclusion screenings, negative news investigations, and entity verification assessments.
• Ensure that onboarding processes comply with BSA/AML, KYC, NACHA, regulatory, and internal standards.
• Organize account and banking structure configurations, encompassing funding arrangements, EFT/ACH setups, and plan-level account mappings.
• Address and resolve onboarding exceptions, discrepancies, and documentation shortages.
• Keep audit-ready onboarding records and track status in CRM/Salesforce and internal systems.
• Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Engineering, and Product teams to address escalated issues and enhance activation efficiency.
• Generate onboarding status reports, pipeline metrics, and trends in exceptions.
• Work alongside Product and Technology teams to pinpoint platform defects, outline requirements, and confirm enhancements.
• Maintain standard operating procedures and suggest process improvements.
• Supply documentation and transaction/onboarding details to support audits.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial services onboarding, payment operations, KYC/AML, or healthcare claims/insurance operations.
• Proficient understanding of BSA/AML, KYC, and NACHA compliance principles as they relate to onboarding and account setup.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a proven ability to accurately validate financial, banking, and compliance documents.
• Capability to articulate onboarding challenges into clear requirements for Product and Technology teams and validate the implemented solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Aptitude for investigating documentation discrepancies and resolving issues with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in fostering productive working relationships across Finance, Compliance, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data validation.
• Ability to manage a high-volume onboarding pipeline and navigate competing priorities while ensuring accuracy and accountability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating ownership of outcomes and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Preferred: experience onboarding providers, TPAs, and employer groups in the healthcare, payments, or financial services sectors.
• Preferred: familiarity with NPI registry lookups, OIG LEIE/SAM.gov exclusion screenings, or similar due diligence tools.
• Preferred: experience utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot.
• Preferred: working knowledge of SQL.
• Preferred: experience with Salesforce, Jira, or other CRM/operational workflow tools.
