Financial Promotions Compliance Officer – 3 Month Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and authorize financial promotions across various brands, products, and distribution channels.

• Offer second-line compliance advice, guidance, and constructive challenges to Marketing and Partnerships teams.

• Assess promotional materials, including TV, radio, print, websites, paid advertising, social media, emails, and customer communications.

• Ensure that promotional content adheres to FCA regulations, advertising standards, internal policies, and Consumer Duty requirements.

• Assist in reviewing financial promotions related to appointed representatives and commercial partners.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to address compliance issues and guarantee that promotions are transparent, equitable, and not misleading.

• Provide timely approvals to facilitate campaign launches and meet business deadlines.

• Engage with the broader Regulatory Compliance Team on various projects and initiatives as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in a second-line compliance role within the financial services sector, preferably in insurance.

• Extensive hands-on experience in reviewing and approving financial promotions.

• In-depth knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements, especially regarding Consumer Duty, ICOBS, and pertinent advertising standards.

• Strong understanding of marketing compliance, including data protection and PECR regulations.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify regulatory risks.

• Confidence in challenging, influencing, and advising stakeholders at all levels.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly and practically explaining complex regulatory requirements.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver approvals within stringent deadlines.

• Immediate availability or short notice preferred.
