📋 Description

• Take ownership of the monthly financial closing process and ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

• Organize and maintain the chart of accounts effectively.

• Supervise external accountants, tax advisors, and bookkeeping services.

• Develop financial reports focusing on contribution margins, marketing effectiveness, payroll expenses, cash runway, and profitability across different offers and channels.

• Create rolling cash forecasts, budgets, and financial models to facilitate informed business decisions.

• Deliver monthly written analyses and actionable advice regarding profitability, expenditures, hiring, and investment in growth.

• Identify and minimize unnecessary costs related to vendors and software.

• Set up financial controls, payment approval procedures, and documented workflows.

• Manage contractor and international payroll operations across various countries.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of finance experience, including roles such as Controller, Finance Manager, or Head of Finance.

• Practical experience with US accounting practices and financials for US entities; experience with Puerto Rico or multiple entities is an advantage.

• Background in a business where marketing expenditure is a significant cost, preferably in e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, SaaS, agencies, or digital products.

• Proficient in financial modeling, spreadsheets, and accounting software.

• Capability to convert financial data into clear insights and actionable business strategies.

• Exceptional written and verbal English skills, with significant overlap in the EST time zone.

• CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent accounting qualification.

• Experience with international entities, outsourced finance teams, or rapidly growing enterprises.

• Proficiency in the Spanish language.
