Financial Clearance Associate II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Communicate with insurance companies and other third-party payers to ascertain pre-certification, pre-authorization, and/or medical necessity criteria for intricate outpatient hospital services and specialized procedures.

• Secure pre-certification or pre-authorization before the scheduled complex services.

• Collaborate with physicians and their office staff to gather additional demographic, insurance, or clinical information.

• Inform payers of patient admission when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Completion of a medical coder training program is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Revenue Cycle or related healthcare experience, including at least one year specifically within the Healthcare Revenue Cycle is required.

• 4 years of relevant healthcare Revenue Cycle experience is preferred.

• Prior experience with Epic is preferred.

• Clinical experience (e.g., medical assistant, surgical tech) is preferred.

• Licenses and Certifications: None required.

• Certification from the Healthcare Financial Management Association is preferred.

• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative is preferred.
