Financial Business Analyst – Power BI, Data Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Burundi.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main IT liaison for assigned Finance reporting areas.

• Work closely with Finance stakeholders on P&L reporting, balance sheet analysis, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, management accounting, and operational finance reporting.

• Collect, evaluate, document, and critically assess business requirements.

• Take ownership of reports, dashboards, KPIs, datasets, and analytics products throughout their entire lifecycle.

• Identify source systems and data custodians; analyze data architectures and establish integration needs.

• Create scalable reporting solutions that adhere to architectural standards and governance protocols.

• Develop semantic models, business calculations, KPIs, and reusable datasets.

• Construct ETL/ELT components, Fabric artifacts, Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.

• Create prototypes and MVPs to confirm business value.

• Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, user acceptance testing, and readiness for production.

• Maintain business requirements, solution documentation, data mappings, KPI definitions, and operational procedures.

• Oversee enhancements, change requests, and report optimization initiatives.

• Engage with Purchasing, Finance, IT, external partners, and both corporate and regional business and IT teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in BI, analytics, finance systems, or business analysis roles.

• Strong track record of integrating business analysis with solution development functions.

• Practical expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, DAX, and data modeling.

• Robust understanding of finance and controlling processes.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX2012, D365 Finance & Operations, or similar ERP systems.

• Proficient in communicating effectively with finance business users and technical teams.

• Experience in managing reporting products from inception to completion.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent English communication abilities.
